As a transdisciplinary designer, the currency I deal in is in – change. Or rather making a change. What I do is help people design for and through change – to initiate it, to activate it, to make a change and to improve their conditions.

PWM-About-2018-Gradient

My experience has seen me operate as part of interdisciplinary teams on transformational projects on behalf of advertising and marketing agencies, business investment firms, innovation consultancies, startups and design studios. Where, I’ve built-up and developed pervasive ‘sense-making’ and ‘change-making’ skills that have helped to enact, transform and make fundamental changes for clients.

Because my practice requires extremely high levels of 'process knowledge' and facilitation skills to be able to navigate complex situations and organisational cultural challenges, I've forged a dexterity that is proficient and competent in;

  • In multiple design disciplines, methods, tools and techniques (please read my capabilities and services for more detail)

  • In a full-stack skillset; research,  problem-finding, opportunity identification, ideation, concept development, prototyping to implementation and production.

  • In conducting and facilitating the journey through design sprints and capacity building.

  • In hypothesis-driven design; to test, frame, validate and articulate value.

  • In a hybrid process that blends creative problem-solving methods, human-centred design, lean startup and innovation methods together.

  • In utilizing cognitive surfacing to orchestrate and synchronize innovative behaviours.

  • In an adaptable business acumen for collaborating with diverse stakeholders, key-decision makers, and project team members to rapidly co-create unique solutions.

This combinatorial quality means I have a propensity to connect the dots and apply my hard skills in an anti-disciplinary manner – leanly at an accelerated rate – to help solve complex problems and provide business recommendations for impact, purpose, and profitability.

It is in these types of situations that I thrive in and have taken the time to develop pervasive skills that allow me to navigate complexity, uncover problems, and co-create unique solutions.

Because my practice requires extremely high levels of 'process knowledge' and facilitation skills to be able to navigate complex situations and organisational cultural challenges, I've forged a dexterity that is proficient and competent in;

  • In multiple design disciplines, methods, tools and techniques (experience, product, service and strategic.)
  • In conducting and facilitating the innovation process through design sprints and capacity building.
  • In utilising cognitive surfacing to orchestrate and synchronise innovative behaviours.
  • In using and implementing 3rd and 4th order design methods such as sensemaking (discover phase; research, problem-finding, synthesis, and framing) and change making (envisioning, prototyping and implementing) methods into various types of problem-spaces.
  • In hypothesis-driven design; to test, frame, validate and articulate value.
